Tottenham are actively seeking to enhance their squad this summer, with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze emerging as a top target.

Journalist Matt Hughes from The Sun reports that Spurs are ready to activate Eze’s £60 million release clause, plus £8 million in potential add-ons, bringing the total to £68 million.

Tottenham’s pursuit of Eze is set to surpass their previous record transfer fee of €62 million, paid for Tanguy Ndombele in 2019.

Despite competition from Premier League champions Manchester City, who are also willing to meet the release clause, Spurs are determined to secure the talented winger.

Eze, under contract with Crystal Palace until June 2027, has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Tottenham.

His impressive performance last season saw him score 11 goals and provide four assists in 27 league appearances, overcoming a month-long injury. Notably, he scored twice in Palace’s final game of the season, a 5-0 victory over Aston Villa, and is now the club’s fourth-highest Premier League goalscorer.

Eze’s inclusion in England’s final 26-man squad for the Euros underscores his rising profile.

He has made three appearances in the tournament, helping England progress to the semi-finals.

Tottenham’s willingness to meet his release clause highlights their commitment to bolstering their squad with top-tier talent.

Securing Eze would significantly enhance Tottenham’s attacking options, aligning with their ambitions for the upcoming season.

The addition of Eze, alongside recent signings Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, signals Spurs’ intent to compete at the highest level and strengthen their squad depth.
