Tottenham Hotspur have set its sights on Juventus winger Federico Chiesa during the current transfer window.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport and relayed by Tutto Juve, Spurs have begun discussions regarding a possible move for Chiesa.

The 26-year-old winger is increasingly likely to leave the Italian club this summer and although Roma are also interested in securing his services, Chiesa prefers to move outside of Italy.

Despite an injury setback, Chiesa made a strong return last season, scoring 9 goals and providing 3 assists in 33 Serie A appearances. (Transfermarkt)

Other Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in Chiesa, intensifying the competition for his signature.

However, Tottenham’s proactive approach in initiating contact demonstrates their determination to enhance their attacking options.

With Chiesa entering the final year of his contract, Juventus may be more willing to negotiate a transfer to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Federico Chiesa has experienced several injuries throughout his career, notably an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in January 2022.

This significant injury to his left knee, sustained during a match against AS Roma, required surgery and sidelined him for approximately six months, causing him to miss the remainder of the 2021-2022 season.

Prior to this, Chiesa had dealt with a few minor muscle injuries, including muscle fatigue and strains, which are common for players with a high-intensity playing style.

Additionally, earlier in his career, he experienced some issues with his ankle and knee, although these were less severe and generally resulted in short-term absences. Despite these setbacks, Chiesa has shown resilience, making strong comebacks each time. His return to form following the ACL injury, where he managed to contribute significantly to Juventus’ 2022-2023 season, highlights his determination and ability to recover from serious injuries.
