Tottenham want  to secure the signing of their long-term target Eberechi Eze this summer.

They have received a boost in their pursuit as the Crystal Palace midfielder reportedly prefers a move to Tottenham over North London rivals Arsenal.

According to Football Transfers, the England international is keen on regular playing time, which he does not believe he will get at Arsenal which is why he leans towards a move to  Tottenham instead.

Tottenham have been long after the Palace man and are reportedly prepared to activate his £60 million release clause, plus an additional £8 million in potential add-ons, to bring him in.

Despite Crystal Palace’s wish  to retain Eze, the midfielder looks keen towards a move away from Selhurst Park.

Whoever signs Eze will be getting a top-class talent who will improve the midfield drastically.

For Tottenham, despite the signing of James Maddison, often the creative spark was missing in the midfield. Eze’s arrival could solve that for Ange Postecoglou.
