Brazil legend Dunga and his wife were involved in a near fatal car crash over the weekend.
The World Cup winner was travelling on the motorway in Brazil when his car flipped over in a horrific crash.
His wife was with him but miraculously both of them escaped with just minor injuries.
They were taken to hospital after the crash but were discharged a day later.
Federal Highway Police performed a breathalyser test on him, which returned negative.
Police believe the crash was a result due to the slippery road surface that was left sodden after heavy rain in Brazil. Dunga’s son Bruno has since spoken out about the crash.
In a statement, he thanked doctors for their assistance.
He said:
“To everyone who was concerned and supported the family, to the truck driver who immediately helped with first aid and to the Angelina Caron Hospital, where we were very well looked after by the team.”
