Tottenham Hotspur is actively seeking to replace their current number 9, Richarlison, during the ongoing transfer window.

Spurs have targeted several strikers as they search for both a buyer for Richarlison and a high-profile replacement.

According to The Times, Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli has shown interest in the Brazilian international. The development was also corroborated by  Al-Riyadiah newspaper, which stated that the 27-year-old centre-forward is a top target for the Jeddah-based club.

Al Ahli has expressed a desire to sign Richarlison, with Tottenham valuing him at around £60 million. Despite Richarlison having three years left on his contract, which runs until 2027, Spurs are eager to sell him due to dissatisfaction with his inconsistency.

Richarlison joined the Lilywhites in the summer of 2022 in a high-profile deal worth £50 million plus £10 million in potential add-ons. However, his debut season was plagued by injuries and limited playing time, resulting in just one Premier League goal.

The 2023-24 season brought further challenges for Richarlison, particularly after Harry Kane’s departure. He struggled initially, failing to score in the first four games and dealing with personal issues.

Despite this rocky start, Richarlison made a strong comeback, ending the season with 11 goals and four assists in 28 Premier League appearances. However, injuries and inconsistency continued to affect his performance in the latter part of the campaign. (Transfermarkt)

As Tottenham aims to bring in a new forward, selling Richarlison to Al Ahli could generate significant funds.

With the Saudi club’s interest and Spurs’ valuation set, the coming weeks will be critical in determining Richarlison’s future.
